The Funding and Billing Officer will be responsible for efficient and accurate billing to government agencies and clients for Home Care programs and reconciliation of client accounts and unspent funds.
Your monthly tasks include:
- Accurate and timely processing of client accounts’ claims and reconciliations.
- Production of invoices and Home Care statements in line with due dates.
- Issuing of exit statements.
- Review and follow up of exception reports on client master data, including client budgets and status.
- Process adjustments to billing and funding as necessary.
- Investigate and resolve any rejected funding requests.
- Update appropriate RSL LifeCare systems (Alayacare, Fincare) for updated funding from government systems.
- Perform funding reconciliations and reclaim any lost funding from the government.
Our expectations are that you:
- Are currently studying or intend to start studying, for your CPA/CA qualifications
- Have a high level of analytical and problem-solving skills
- Have excellent organisational skills, high attention to detail and high degree of accuracy with data entry.
- Have strong numerical and computer literacy skills.
- Have strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Have the ability to meet strict deadlines.
- Demonstrate compassion, tolerance, patience and empathy for aged people and their families.
- Have the ability to work with sensitive and confidential information.
- Have appreciation and acceptance of people from different backgrounds and beliefs.
You will be a standout candidate if you have:
- Ability to understand legislative concepts of home care funding.
- Experience in the aged care sector, particularly in Home Care.
- Experience with Medicare would be desirable.
